Outdoor Learning Workshops in School

The Fresh Air Club provides outdoor learning workshops to schools during term time.  We run activity-based sessions based around bushcraft and team building games teaching co-operative skills in an adventurous outdoor learning environment.

We work in schools on a daily basis with children of all ages, some in small groups, some in classes and some entire years. We are able to provide specific activity days based around a subject (i.e. the vikings), weekly bushcraft and healthy wide game sessions in PE lessons, curriculum based learning for the entire school or provide a unique and exciting one-off reward day for your high achievers.

Alternatively, we can provide your school with a concise ‘outdoors learning week’ where we can spend time with your various year groups outdoors, teaching skills, thinking co-cooperatively and having fun!

Some of the activities we run at schools are:

  • Ancient fire lighting
  • Den and shelter building
  • Navigation using man made and natural methods
  • Bug hunts, bug house and bird feeders
  • Whittling wood to make tent pegs
  • Tree identification and their uses
  • Team building adventure games
  • Knots and paracord survival bracelet making

If you would like more information about running exciting outdoor activities at your school get in touch and we will be happy to chat through your ideas.
