Home Education for 14-18 year olds

Following our NCFE Level 2 course run over the first half term of autumn we are extending our older home education group sessions on a Thursday morning aimed at 14-18 years with planned sessions taking us up to Christmas and beyond into next year.

We’ll be covering lots of bushcraft areas and subjects each week and we’ll be developing their outdoor skills further during the term. The sessions will be structured and progressional meaning the children will constantly be learning, having lots of fun and making new friends.
All sessions on the course are hands on and examples of activities are shown below:

🌱 Fire lighting
🌱 Axe skills
🌱 Shelter building
🌱 Green wood working
🌱 Campfire cooking
🌱 Knife skills
🌱 Spoon carving
🌱 Projectiles – spears, bows/arrows, catapults

The course will take place in our private woodland near the Verwood Heavy Horse Centre on Thursday mornings from 10 - 12. Each session is £14 (to be paid in advance). All of our instructors are highly qualified, DBS checked, first aid trained and insured.

Parent(s) to stay on site please, you can bring a chair and enjoy our peaceful woodland.
