Outdoor Adventurous After School Clubs

The Fresh Air Club run outdoor learning sessions after school in a number of schools in and around the New Forest, Bournemouth and Poole for children aged 6 – 13 depending on location. Our after-school clubs last for an hour and during this time we teach bushcraft and survival skills along with lots of fun team building and adventurous games. All leaders are fully trained and insured, have valid DBS checks and an outdoors first aid trained member of staff attends all events.

Some of the activities we run at our after school clubs are:

  • Fire lighting techniques
  • Den and shelter building
  • Navigation using man-made and natural methods
  • Bug hunts, bug house and bird feeders
  • Slacklining
  • Whittling wood to make tent pegs
  • Tree identification and their uses
  • Pop corn and damper bread making
  • Nerf tactical games
  • Knots and paracord survival bracelet making
  • Team building adventure games
  • Campfire with marshmallows and s'mores
